What a nectar collector is
A nectar collector — sometimes called a dab straw — is a straight piece with a heated tip at one end and a mouthpiece at the other. Instead of loading concentrate onto a nail, you heat the tip and touch it to the concentrate in its own dish.
Most are quartz or glass, and some versions are electronic with a set temperature instead of a torch. The appeal is portion control: you touch, you draw, you stop, rather than committing a whole scoop at once.

Cleaning and care basics
Residue builds on the tip and inside the body. A cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol on a still-warm tip clears most of it; a longer soak handles the rest. Rinse and dry completely before the next use.
Quartz survives heat cycling well but not impact, so store the piece in a case. Let anything heated cool fully before packing it away, and follow the manufacturer's instructions for electronic devices.
