Cash Cobain — born Caesar Tobias Crenshaw Hayes — is the Bronx producer and rapper credited with shaping the sexy drill sound that took New York by storm. With viral hits like "Fisherrr" and "Dunk Contest," co-signs from Drake and Bay Swag, and a producer credit list that spans the city, he's one of the most influential young voices in NY rap.

"Yo, what's up? This is Cash Cobain. Man, I'm here at Good Grades. And these are three things I can't smoke without." That's the entire intro. No résumé, no run-through. The Bronx producer who reshaped New York's rap sound walks in, gets the question, and goes.

The cadence is the giveaway — same offhand, conversational energy he brings to a hook. By the time he says "first thing," you already know this answer is going to be honest and a little funny.

"I'm here at Good Grades. These are three things I can't smoke without."

Cash opens with the answer most artists skip. "First thing I can't smoke without is a bev. I could do water, I could do juice, but it just gotta be any type of bev."

Then he explains the why, which is the part that lands. "The grabba or the paper mixture — drying things up." That's the practical truth of a real spliff: grabba pulls moisture, papers pull more, and the inside of your mouth pays the price. A beverage in hand isn't a luxury, it's the fix.

Water, juice, whatever — the brand doesn't matter, the presence does.

The second pick comes with a line that's basically a meme in waiting. "Second thing I can't smoke without is the grabba. Man, you gotta put the grabba in. I ain't smoking no air spliff."

He keeps going, drawing the line clearly. "You can't do it that way, man. No vegan, no none of that spliffing. Gotta have grabba." The translation: no plain joints ("air spliff"), no grabba-free "vegan" version. If Cash is rolling, the whole leaf is going in.

The third one comes with a caveat — and it's the most producer answer he could give. "Third thing, I can smoke without it, but I'd rather not. I wanna hear that music, you know what I'm saying? Put me in the mood, smoking, feeling good."

Then the playlist. "I wanna hear that good music. Definitely some Cash Cobain, some shit. Or I might get in my trap bag and play a whole 549, Future." The order is the joke and the truth: his own catalog first — because of course — and then the Future deep cuts when he wants to settle into the trap bag.

It's a small detail, but it's the difference between a rapper answering and a producer answering. He's thinking about the room, the mood, and the sequence.

"Definitely some Cash Cobain, some shit. Or get in my trap bag and play a whole 549, Future."

Cash closes the way you'd expect from somebody who pulled up in person. "It's Cash Cobain, man. Those are the three things I can't smoke without. Shout out to Good Grades, man. You know the vibes."

A Bronx artist co-signing a Queens dispensary on camera isn't a small thing in 2026 New York. The boroughs cross over plenty in the music; on the cannabis side, those handoffs are still being built. Cash on the Good Grades mic is one of them.

Cash Cobain's three things — a bev, the grabba, and the music — are a producer's smoke setup written in 40 seconds. The bev keeps the session sustainable, the grabba keeps the spliff real, and the playlist keeps the mood right. Nothing aspirational, nothing for the camera.
